Since its inception, PORA gave floor to more than 450 highly qualified experts. We brought together 450 experts in ecology, education, public administration, business, healthcare and tourism. The Expert Council consists of PORA guest experts, participants of the PORA Discussion Club sessions, and grant recipients.

We invite all experts interested in sustainable development of the Russian Arctic to join the Council. You can apply for Council membership via this link: sovet.porarctic.ru. Expert Council members enjoy a number of benefits. For instance, preferences are given to grant applications submitted by its members; articles, reviews, and/or research papers authored by members are eligible for publication in the PORA Expert Council quarterly; members are eligible for positions of PORA representatives in their respective regions and are entitled to participate in the Expert Council sessions. To recognize the contribution of the most prominent participants, an annual award for the outstanding contribution to the sustainable development of the Arctic was established.

Expert Council members take part in regular sessions of the Discussion Club. The PORA Discussion Club is a round table for discussing issues and challenges relating to sustainable development in the Arctic. Since its inception, more than 70 sessions of the Discussion Club were held.

Expert Council members can publish their research papers in Arctic 2035: Challenges and Solutions, a quarterly issued under the auspices of PORA.
